  • Wagah Border is the only road border between India and Pakistan. It is also referred as the 'Berlin Wall of Asia'.

  • Separated by two heavy gates that are two matres apart, the Wagah Border is the most known for the 'Beating the Retreat' ceremony that takes place every evening and lasts for about 45 minutes.

  • The retreat includes the changing of guards and the retreat of the Indian and the Pakistani Flags. The show is synchronised between the Indian Border Security Force and the Pakistani Sutlej Rangers, and has been conducted every day since 1959.
