⚫ Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies usually because of unecessary human activities.

⚫ Water can be conserve by the following ways :

1. By using rain water harvesting. Here, the rain water falls in the roof-top of a building and water is stored for future use.

2. By repairing damaged pipes in sewage system to stop the unecessary flowing of water.

3. By properly closing the taps after use so that water donot waste by falling drop by drop from the tap.

4. By conserving large amount of water in dams for future use.

5. By using water conserving irrigation methods such as drip irrigation. Here, water falls drop by drop near the roots of plants as water is not wasted at all.
