World War 2 was started on 1st September, 1939 and ended on 2nd September, 1945.
Reason to start this war:-
Adolf Hitler wanted to capture Danzig port in Poland.

Allied and axis powers fought each other.The main Allied powers were Great Britain, The United States, China, and the Soviet Union. The leaders of the Allies were Franklin Roosevelt (the United States), Winston Churchill (Great Britain), and Joseph Stalin (the Soviet Union).

The main axis powers were Germany, Japan and Italy. The Axis leaders were Adolf Hitler, Emperor Hirohito and Benito Mussolini respectively.

Among the estimated 45-60 million people killed were,6 million Jews murdered in Nazi concentration camps as part of Hitler’s diabolical “Final Solution."
After Hitler committed suicide, Nazi Germany surrendered unconditionally to the Allies. Japan fought on alone, surrendering formally on September 2, 1945.
Thus, the Second World War ended.Allied powers won the war.
