Books are friends who never leave your side. I find this saying to be very true as books have always been there for me. I enjoy reading books. They have the power to help us travel through worlds without moving from our places. In addition, books also enhance our imagination. Growing up, my parents and teachers always encouraged me to read. They taught me the importance of reading. Subsequently, I have read several books. However, one boom that will always be my favourite is Harry Potter. It is one of the most intriguing reads of my life. I have read all the books of this series, yet I read them again as I never get bored of it.

Harry Potter was a series of books authored by one of the most eminent writers of our generation, J.K. Rowling. These books showcase the wizarding world and its workings. J.K. Rowling has been so successful at weaving a picture of this world, that it feels real. Although the series contains seven books, I have a particular favourite. My favourite book from the series is The Goblet of fire.

When I started reading the book, it caught my attention instantly. Even though I had read all the previous parts, none of the books caught my attention as this one did. It gave a larger perspective into the wizarding world. One of the things which excite me the most about this book is the introduction of the other wizard schools. The concept of the Tri-wizard tournament is one of the most brilliant pieces I have come across in the Harry Potter series.

In addition, this book also contains some of my favourite characters. The moment I read about Victor Krum’s entry, I was star struck. The aura and personality of that character described by Rowling are simply brilliant. Further, it made me become a greater fan of the series.

please mark me as the brainliest.....

Answer:

My favourite book is 'The boy in the striped pyjamas' by John Boyne. I have been a huge fan of Holocaust literature and books related to historical fiction. It is about a young boy of eleven-Bruno, a Nordic German Aryan who develops an unlikely and unusual friendship with Shmuel, a Jew. But these are tough times. The country is ruled by the great dictator-Adolf Hitler, who is full of hatred for Jews. Initially, Bruno leads a lavish and luxurious life in the heart of Berlin.

But when his father gets transferred, they have to pack their bags and move to an isolated place near a concentration camp. Bruno does not like their new house as he does not have any friends to talk to. One day he discovers people in striped clothes through the window of his house. So he decides to go out near the concentration camp. Here he meets Shmuel and develops a strong friendship with him. However Bruno's fate overturns as he promises to find Shmuel's father and crosses the fence. Shmuel gives him the striped clothes. But, both of them along with the other Jews are pushed into the gas chambers where both of them die. Nobody, not even Bruno's parents ever come to know that he had died in the 'death factory'.

If you have sufficient knowledge about the Holocaust, then this book is a must for you. The book has also been adapted into a Miramax feature film. It has a bunch of positive values and role models to learn from. The book and the movie are highly disturbing. Some events in the book are based on true incidents as well. 'The boy in the striped pyjamas' is a highly popular book and has sold over 5 million copies. It is heartbreaking and extremely

tragic.
