Answer:-

Properties of Metals:-

•Metals are solid at room temperature except mercury which is liquid in room temperature.

•Metals have high melting point.

•Metals are hard except sodium and potassium which can be cut like a butter with a knife.

•Metals are lustrous and sonorous(able to produce sounds)

•They are good conductors of heat and electricity.

•Metals have high melting point.

•Metals are malleable and ductile.

Examples of metals are Iron(Fe), Copper(Cu), Aluminium (Al), Silver(Ag), Zinc(Zn) etc.

Properties of Non-Metals are:-

•Non-metals can be solid, liquid or gases at room temperature.

•Non-Metals are poor conductors of heat and electricity except graphite which is a good conductor of heat and electricity.

•Non-metals have low melting point except graphite.

•They are non sonorous(not capable to produce sound)

•Non-metals are non-ductile.

•Non-metals are brittle.

•Non-metals are non-lustrous(not shiny).

Examples of Non-metals are Nitrogen(N), Iodine(I), Chlorine(Cl), Oxygen(O), Sulphur(S) etc.
