P(A) = 2^n

P(A) - no. of subsets

n - no. of elements in the set.. = 4

= 2^4

= 16

All subsets of the set ------

{g},{o},{o},{d},{go},{go},{oo},{od},{od},{gd},{good},{god},{god},{goo},{ood},{ }.

Given,

A word "Good".

To Find,

All subset of the set of letters of the word.

Solution,

The letters in "Good" in form of a set looks as follows,

X = {g,o,o,d}

We know the number of subsets ,P(X) = 2^{n}.

Where n is the number of elements in the set.

Here n=4.So the number of subsets, P(X) = 2^{4}=16.

Therefore all of the 16 subsets are as follows

{g},{o},{o},{d},{go},{go},{oo},{od},{od},{gd},{good},{god},{god},{goo},{ood},{Ф }.[{Ф} is a null set]

Hence, all the subset of set of letters in the word good are {g},{o},{o},{d},{go},{go},{oo},{od},{od},{gd},{good},{god},{god},{goo},{ood},{Ф }.
