NATIONAL RURAL EMPLOYMENT GUARANTEE ACT( NREGA):

1.NREGA was successfully launched in September 2005.

2.The act provides 100 day assured employment every year to every rural household in 200 districts and later on to 600 districts.

3. One third of the jobs are reserved for women.

4. Under this if an applicant is not provided employment within 15 days , he/she would be able to receive a daily unemployment allowance.

5.The central government will establish a National Employment Guarantee Fund.
Similarly, state government will establish State Employment Guarantee Fund.

NATIONAL FOOD FOR WORK PROGRAMME:

1. National Food For Work Programme was launched in 2004.

2. It was launched in 150 most backward districts of the country.

3. It implements as a 100% centrally sponsored scheme, food grains at free of cost to the states.

4. It is opened to all the rural poor who are in need of wage employment and desired to do manual unskilled work.

5. It is implemented as a centrally sponsored scheme and is opened for all popes who are ready to work and do human labour.

PRIME MINISTER ROZGAR YOJANA (PMRY):

1. Prime Minister Rozgar Yozana was launched in 1993.

2. The aim of the programme is to create self-employment opportunities for educated unemployed youth in rural area and small towns.

3. They are helped in setting up small business and Industries.

4. Under this scheme loans were given for business, agricultural and Industrial activities for unemployed youth and women.

5. This scheme is applicable for people whose age is between 18 and 35. Also their income should not exceed Rs.40 per year.

PRADHAN MANTRI GRAMODHAYA YOJANA:

1.Pradhan Mantri Gramodhaya Yozana was launched in the year 2000.

2. Under this scheme additional central assistance is given to states for basic issues like rural shelter, primary health, education, drinking water and electrification.

3. It's main aim was to uplift the living standards of the rural poor by improving 9th quality of their lives.

4.The main targeted group for this scheme are the people below poverty line who live in rural areas and mostly belong to lower sections of society like SC, ST etc.

5. Most of the monitoring of this programme was carried out by the planning commission.


ANTYODHAYA ANNA YOJANA:

1. Antyodhaya Anna Yojana was launched in December 2000.

2. It aims at providing rice, wheat to the poorest of the poor.

3. Under this scheme nearly 1 crore of the poorest of the poor families among families belonging to below poverty line were identified.

4. 25 kg of food grains were available to each family at a highly subsidised rate of Rs.2 per 1 kg of wheat and Rs.3 per 1 kg of rice.

5.The scheme has been further expanded twice by additional 50 lakh below poverty families in June 2003 and in August 2004.
