Explanation:

I read 'To Kill A Mockingbird' by Harper Lee. No wonder it was one of the best sellers in New York. The racism back in the 90s is what drew me to it. I was spell bound after reading how and on what basis the blacks were and still are discriminated. How Tom Robinson was declared guilty even after Atticus had proved that Mayela Ewell had put a false charge on him about raping her. This just shows how twisted and evil the minds of the whites were. What really drew me to the story was the fact that Scout, being just 7 years old, was experiencing all this and for once I got to hear a story from the point of view of an innocent girl who had yet to discover the hardships of life. The thrill of knowing what was to come next was what kept me on the edge of my seat. The suspence of it all made me turn the pages until I finished the book. Every time I read this book, I am told a different story. I pay more attention to the people and activities I didn't before and discover new hidden details in the story each time.
