FRACTION -
A fraction is a number that represents a part of a whole. It includes Numerator and Denominator. It is a numerical quantity which is not a whole number . It is a tiny part or proportion of something .
For example - 3/4 or 0.75 . 3 is known as Numerator and 4 is known as Denominator.
CONCEPT OF FRACTION -
Teachers should teach their students in a creative way so that students can understand fractions easily.
Teachers should give a clear meaning of different types of fractions such as proper fraction , improper fraction , mixed fraction etc .
Teachers should teach children how to simplify the fraction to its lowest forms. For this , children should learn tables thoroughly.
Teachers should use different methods or strategies to teach fractions by using paper foldings, by diagrams , etc .
