take a potted plants and keep it in a dark place where no light is present for two three days so that the leaf a discharge cover the part of one of leaf with the strip of paper make sure that you cover both the side of the leave now please this plants in a sunlight for 3 _4 hour it is necessary to remove starch present in the leave because presence of stars conference that photosynthesis has taken place that the selected cover to live and remove the black paper covering it's not is it for the presence of starch by boring iodine solution over it

observations: the covered reason will not turns blue black because there are no starts from in the area it so that the only those part of leaf that were exposed to the sun from photosynthesis

Answer:

Aim: To Prove that Sunlight is necessary to form starch in Green Plants.

Apparatus: Potted Plant, Iodine Solution, Black Paper.

Procedure:

(i) Take a potted plant with destarched leaves which is kept in dark for 2-3 days.

(ii) Cover one of its leaves with Black Strip Paper on which a design is Cut.

(iii) Fix the paper on the leaf in such a manner that Sunlight doesn't enter the Dark part.

(iv) Place this potted plant in Sunlight.

(v) After few gours of exposure to Sunlight, test the Leaves which is covered by Black Paper for the presence of Starch.

(vi) On Leaf covered with Black Paper add 2-3 drops of Iodine soution/pellets

Observation: The parts of the leaf, which could get light through the Cut of designs turns into Blue-Black color showing the Presence of Starch.

Conclusion/Result/Inference: Sunlight is necessary to form starch in the process of Photosynthesis in Green Plants.
