ACTIVITY TO SHOW THE RECTILINEAR PROPAGATION OF LIGHT

AIM : - To show that light travels in a straight line ( Rectilinear propagation of    Light)

MATERIALS REQUIRED : - A candle , Matchbox , and a flexible tube

PROCEDURE : -

1. Take a flexible tube and place a lighted candle in front of one end of it. Place your eyes at the other end of the tube
2. Now , bend the tube a bit. Place your eyes at the other end of the tube. try to locate the candle light.

OBSERVATION : - We can observe that we can see the light through a straight tube not with a bent tube this is because light travels in a straight line.
