take an empty can... fill it with a little water... then boil the water... when the whole can is filled with water vapour while boiling then at that time close the can tightly... now carefully place the can and throw some cold water on the can... as soon as you throw the cold water on it, the water vapour that occupies most of the space inside the can, condenses to from water... so a part inside the can actually becomes vacant... when you will pour the cold water you will immediately see that the can is crushed... this shows that air exerts pressure.. the pressure exerted by the air crashes the can.
