Aim :

To show that liquid pressure is transmitted equally in all directions at a given horizontal level .

Method :

1. take a plastic bottle
2. make holes in it at a same horizontal and vertical level .
3. fill water in the bottle and close the lid tight .
4. open the lid

CONCLUSION : the water from every hole will flow with same pressure and upto same distance .

IT IS PROVED THAT LIQUID PRESSURE IS EQUAL IN ALL DIRECTIONS AT HORIZONTAL LEVEL .

Make a holes at the same level in a tin can.

When taps are removed, water is seen to emerge out from those holes with equal force. Mark the points, on the floor, where the water has fallen. Join these points to form a closed figure.

Observation

The closed figure is nearly a circle , with the center of approximately at its centre.

Conclusion

We conclude that the liquid pressure is transmitted equally in all directions and is same at a given horizontal level.
