take a coloured solution in a beaker.......
cut the stem of a branch of any plant at certain length....
fix a tube tightly to base of the cut end of stem and with the help of a stand place the plant with tube so that tube touched the color solution of beaker
the tube must contain clean water

after an hour observe the level of colored solution will be increased indicating p that stem conduct water
