when sugar is added to water and stirred it dissolves quickly and seems to disappear. this happens as both sugar and water are made up of very small particles. when sugar dissolves tiny sugar particles break off from each other and these sugar particles move into spaces between water particles and mix with them . thus it shows that there is space between particles of matter......
