There is an experiment where you have a strip of metal and wax stuck in the end. A steady heat source is at the other end of the metal strip, and the conductivity is determined by the speed at which the wax melts.

while planning the experiment also make sure to add a constant so you can compare coppers thermal conductivity with (Ex: iron or zinc).
