Take a story, remove the action words and give it as a “complete the story” activity.  Give a heading and ask the students to develop a story. 

 

You can give hints in points.  Example, tortoise and hare. The hints could be, hare ran very fast in the beginning.  Hare took rest.  Tortoise had reached the goal post.

You can use pictures, like comic strip and can guide them to write a story.
