You could do one of people who have never met stranded on an island that has never been heard of then the go on adventures in the meantime 1 or more of the characters die because of whatever reason and the last person to be alive figures out how to bring the others back to life and be able to go back home. Once they go back home they realize they were on the island for however many years and were assumed dead. They then figure out a way to meet up and talk about their adventures to the rest of the world.
