18 Apples and 45 Mangoes cost Rs. 981.

Now, let X be one apple's cost, and Y be one mango's cost. Form an equation with this.

18X + 45Y = 981

You can cancel out a factor of 9 on both sides

9 * ( 2X + 5Y ) = 9 * 109

2X + 5Y = 109

The above is the simplified equation.

Now, multiply 5 on both sides of the equation.

5 * ( 2X + 5Y ) = 5 * 109

10X + 25Y = 545

The above equation means : 10 Apples and 25 Mangoes cost Rs. 545.
