While polishing the shoes it is important to use a newspaper spread across the working area. The shoes or boots may have dirt and dust accumalated on it. Use a brush to get rid of the dirt or dust.

Use a standard shoe polish and gently rub a sufficient amount of the polish on the shoe using the brush. Repeat the processes with the pair of  shoes.
