The fuel on which a vehicle runs gets burned inside the engine which in turn emits various harmful gases. The gases that vehicle emits are carbon monoxide, Nitrogen dioxide, Sulphur Oxide. All these gases are harmful to the environment.

In India the capital city Delhi is one of the most polluted places in delhi in 2018 it is clearly evident that 11.7% is contributed by industries and in contrast 5.7% of the pollution is by the residents of delhi .On the other hand ,pollution by suspended dust is 3.1% whereas pollution caused by power plants is 18.1% .However 39.1% of the pollution is due to transport likewise 22.3% of the pollution is caused by other sources.

By the overall view we can say that the majority of pollution is due to the transport with the percent of 39.1 and the least is due to the suspended dust with the percent of 3.1 .
