A dengue awareess camp was organised by the Health Department. People were made aware that dengue is spread by mosquitoes and they should keep their surroundings clean to check breeding of mosquitoes. People were also advised to clean their coolers once a week and also check water stagnation near the flower pots.Encroachments removedThe Tehbazari wing of MC today removed the Rehris from Ghumar Mandi and College Road this evening. Rehris of about 13 eateries were removed by the team of MC. The owners of these eateries had encroached upon the public land to woo the customers. Their stocks including eatables were lifted by the team of MC. Jasdev Singh Sekhon, superintendent said that they will have to pay huge penalty if stocks are to be returned.
