HYDERABAD: In a shocking incident a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered by her neighbour at Singareni colony under Saidabad police station limits in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Tension gripped the area after scores of people staged protests and blocked roads at Champapet and Karmanghat. Heavy police forces including a quick reaction team was deployed in the area and routes leading to IS Sadan and Saidabad were diverted. The protestors demanded Rs 50 lakh compensation to the deceased’s family.
