Compassion the sign of human evolution. We ensure someone's well - being by showing compassion towards them. Recent reports have revealed that there are hundreds of dogs in shelters.
These dogs were either deprived of affection or were subjected to brutality and neglect. By adopting a dog which is in need, we teach the children affection and responsibility towards other living beings.
The education system can't stress enough on the importance of being responsible from a young age. By adopting a pet from the shelter homes, the child not only gets a sense of achievement of saving a life, but also, learns to be accountable for their actions. They are in-charge of feeding,cleaning, playing ,walking and training the pet.
Dogs are known for their extraordinary sense of smell.Many stories and newspaper reports have been published about how dogs have rescued their owners when they were in danger. They do not run away in dangerous situations. In fact,they would always be there for you; in good times and bad times.
Dogs are also intuitive. So, when you get sad, they pick up signals and come close to comfort you.
In other words,they are a reservoir of love. It is rightly said that 'a dog is man's best friend'. It is now man's turn to be to be dog's friend.
Adopting a dog from the shelter would better two lives ; theirs and yours.
