Joys of Living in the Lap of Nature
How fortunate are those who live in the salubrious lap of nature! Green valleys surrounded by tall sylvan mountains under the canopy of azure sky, clear rills and streams, far away from the din of city life, nature is the pure paradise of peace and beauty.
Nature is the visible expression of the invisible God. William Shakespeare in his play, ‘As You Like It’ has very poetically said, ‘tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything.’ It is quite true Nature is the best teacher. Everything in nature is so grand and flawlessly perfect. The infinite galaxies, solar system, the sun, planet earth, and infinite forms of life on planet earth are just mind-boggling.
Often his going to mountains refreshes his being after the exhaustion of the mundane life among machines in the cities. Nature, like a loving mother is always suckles man with its resources to keep him alive, healthy, happy and peaceful. However, the thankless man fails to be a responsible son. Owing to his selfishness and greed, the mother is losing its health. The stupid and narrow-sighted man fails to see that his own survival is impossible without the Mother Nature. Nature is not merely important for man; rather it is indispensable for him.
