In the view of the ongoing pandemic, with a large population of India dependent on public transport, the topic is highly mandatory to be taken as a concern. The current situation sees huge increase in infections every day. At this time, humans should make the least contact.
The population of India does not make it possible. In my city, no one is seemed to maintain social distancing. Even very few people use gloves and masks. People sit next to each other in buses, trains, bikes increasing human contact and hence chances of infection.
Therefore, it's my request to the government, to make rules for social distancing mandatory in public transport. This should be accompanied by an increased number of available vehicles, to accommodate the population.
Also, there should be the provision of sanitization of vehicles after every ride and facility of sanitizers for passengers on each vehicle.
