As I mentioned in another post, that God had this bright idea of adults having kids is, so that the adults can have a refresher course in life's lessons that they may have forgotten in the business of growing up. Here's what we (can and should) learn from kids

Wide eyed innocence-That child like quality that fades away with every passing year… children have a way of bringing it back. Don't believe me. Try watching a cartoon or even better plan a trip to Disney. You'll know exactly what I mean.Truth and nothing but the truth- A child on his own will stick to speaking the truth howsoever uncomfortable. I always trust my nine year old when it comes to advice on shoes, bags and clothes. She's unflinching, sometimes cruel but always honest.Forgive AND forget - Every time I have been strict with my daughter and then at night tried apologizing for it, she'll put her arms around me and tell me ‘You are still thinking about it? It's OK, forget it ’… and she means it!Perservance-They'll tug your T shirt, your heartstrings and keep at it till you give in and give up.Finding the silver lining-Every disaster is an opportunity turned inside out. My daughter and I often go on movie dates. For one such show we got late and the next one had still some time. I was just beginning to mope when my daughter ever so gently touched my hand and said, ‘It's OK ma, let's check out the new ice cream parlour we had been planning to go to’.Make you feel like super heroes- Oh that my-mom-can-do-anything look of admiration in their eyes when you do a simple task.
