Whatsapp has really two different disadvantages
Social Disadvantages(Most of my friends are already talking about here)
Technical Disadvantages.
Lets first grab the important one i.e Social Disadvantages
Every thing in this beautiful world becomes dangerous/poisonous if used/kept for long time then really needed. Same goes with Whatsapp. Know your priorities & responsibilities and work smartly. Time is precious. Remember Whatsapp is made for humans and Not Humans are for Whatapp.
Social Insecurity : What ever you share personal or social will have positive and negative impacts on an individual. Though Whatsapp has more then millions of active users but world it too small for such digital technologies. So always be careful when you share messages though they are free.
Maintaining Personal space: With some beautiful features like last seen, Double & single Ticks you get some personal space but we would need more flexibility in using them. After all every one have their own priorities in their friends. I really do not want to know for all who read my message nor I want every one to see when I was Last seen.
Now lets see some of the Technical Disadvantages:
I do not have Internet , Whatsapp is of no use. It will become a Ship without sea.
I do not have Smart phone, Whatapp will be of no use as you cannot use this feature on normal phones with Internet capability.
Visuals speaks more then Texts, So who ever you want to see either active or last seen , you have open his/her profile and then check his status. Why you cannot do it by just seeing his/her account in your contact list. Ex: Skype,Hangouts shows the person in your contact list as Green,Orange, Red,etc.
Compatibility: What is a 2g user calls a 3g/4g/5g user by making voice call. Whatsapp enables this call then a person on low speed network releases that he/she is unable to hear the person on the other side. Why not Whatspp checks this before actually person landing up in frustration.
Video calls: Whatsapp do not support video calls.
Alright If I keep thinking I would go more deeper , But I thing this are the most common Disadvantages of Whatsapp.
