Two days back I went trekking on the nearby hills with my classmates. We carried some food and drink in our backpacks. It was a pleasant day. The sun was mild and a pleasant breeze was blowing.
All of us were very excited as it was our first trekking trip. Our seniors had told us that it was very enjoyable. We started climbing. Some boys were telling jokes, some were enjoying the weather. We decided to pick up things, like a unique shaped stone or flower on the way to keep as a remembrance. It would be great fun.
But when we looked around we found that the place was littered all over. There were used paper cups, paper plates, straws and other things thrown by the visitors. As we went further we found that most of the trees had been cut and their fruits had been taken away. There were no flowers on the plants.
We were very disappointed and realized how man is destroying nature and harming the environment for his happiness. We hope man will realize his folly and maintain the pristine glory of the green mountains.
