(Resilience means one’s ability to recover from an illness or difficult situations quickly. In this case, resilience can refer to recovering from Covid-19 and also adapting to the challenging situations brought about because of the worldwide pandemic. For students the mental part of resilience is more applicable. So your answer needs to focus on that.)

During the lock-down when everything had come to a halt, there was a lot of uncertainty and stress build-up. We students in particular did not have much to do and got frustrated being stuck at home. The only thing that we could do was connect with friends. These chats, voice and video calls kept us busy, entertained, motivated and in a positive frame of mind. When the online classes began, we started following a routine. Surprisingly, having a routine also contributes to mental health. We spent time in the classes and also worked on assignments given by teachers. So we were not just busy but also productive and our energies were channelised in a creative manner, trying to handle projects with limited resources available at home. Put together, all of these factors helped establish a daily routine that slowly but gradually built resilience.
