This man had nothing but truth in his words and courage in his heart. However uncanny it may seem, he went on with his terrifying words of non violance. He led people to the light of peace, away from the darkness of anger and of revenge. He showed that the true religion is humanity and that religion is meant to unite and not divide.
He was a man of character, a man of Dharma. He stood bravely against the mighty British and gave India it's freedom. He stood against the Injustice, not just in India but in South Africa and anywhere, where atrocities were followed. But alas! Such a great man could not be saved...
It was 5:17pm, 30 January 1948 in the Birla house, the great soul breathed his last... He was shot dead! by Nathuram Vinayak Godse...
He may have died but he left truth behind him... He watered sprouts of patriotism and humanity in the hearts of youth and all alike, for generations to come... His voice shall remain with us forever, he shall never perish from our hearts. Such a great man who saw the whole world, poor or rich, dark or fair, good or bad, as one. He is one of the finest leaders of the past and perhaps even in the future.
He is my favorite leader, he is my ideal role model. May his soul rest in peace...may his soul rest in peace.
