We all understand that when we work together as a team, we always succeed and if we work individually trying to pull each other down, we fail. The simple explanation of the proverb ‘United we stand, divided we fall’ can be that unity is strength and division leads to downfall. If we work together we can be successful and if we fight with each other we are bound to fail. Internal differences always weaken a team. All members must co-operate for common good. Selfish leaders often try to divide people in order to gain power. The results are always disastrous for the growth of any organization or country. Similarly, if we take the example of our families, we can see that when we are together in times of need, the problem gets solved quickly without one person being over- burdened. But if the family members don’t support each other and quarrel, there can never be a solution to distress. We must realise this and remain united in the hour of need. We must remember that victory is never an individual effort, it is a collective achievement.
