A national initiative has been on to save the environment and thereby the human existence, and it was, indeed, heartening to see that the upcoming generation of youths at the Boys High School (BHS) and College were quite and seriously alive to the perils of environmental degradation.
The massive and varied presentation made by as many as 350 class XI students on "Nurture Nature for Our Future", at an exhibition in the School's Flynn Hall, made one feels quite optimistic that the young generation is as sensitive to a serious threat which is confronting the mankind as are the increasing number of environmental scientists and activists all over the world. The exhibition, inaugurated by BHS principal, CV Innes, was quite panoramic, what with as many as 92 charts and models, shaped by the literally young Earth Warriors of BHS under the guidance of A David, Dr A Mukhopadhyaya, M Santani and P Chattree.
