There was a time and the time was very long ago that the number of wild animals was very much larger than that of man. Most of the land area was occupied by trees. But the tables have turned completely.

What we see now is man and only man. Animals are on the brink of existence, the dense jungles have been turned to concrete jungles inhabited by man.

By 2100 the population is estimated to have reached more than 11 billion. This alarming growth of population will lead to a population burst. Food will become scarce, employment a real crisis.

The worst effect will be on Nature. She will not be able to sustain the immense load and natural disasters will be eminent.

It is already observed that the ice at the two poles and the high mountains have begun to melt. This is due to global warming- a direct consequence of the rising population.

Plastic, consumed by all, is taking over the flora and fauna of the Earth. Soon the Earth will turn into a plastic planet bereft life!

India is a massive contributor to this Titanic issue. If measures are not taken she will supersede all nations and cause a dangerous calamity for herself and the others.

It is high time that all Nations keep their differences aside and concentrate on how to control this alarming growth of population.
