Your question innately isolates humans from the rest of the animal kingdom; but humans are animals. So let’s rephrase your question and ask, “Why do some animals need other animals, but some animals do not need other animals?” I know, that seems to sound silly—but wait for it.

The Earth being a closed system, all forms of life are to some degree interdependent upon all other forms of life; but most—indeed, nearly all—at such an environmental impact-distance that the loss of one or two species here and there can be satisfactorily adjusted for, overall. So, in specific terms (as long as there is an abundance of species in action) most animals’ need of most other animals is not critical. Thus, the sudden and complete disappearance of one species—humans—would (in the positive sense) pass by the rest of the animal kingdom virtually entirely unnoticed, whilst in the negative sense (pollution, destruction of other animal habitats) the rest of the animal kingdom would benefit significantly.
