All around the world people suffer in different ways whether it be not having basic needs like clean water and housing, however there are also people suffering from their own government and the people who say they are protecting it. This is the problem in Belarus a country located in Europe and borders Russia, and a population of 9.5 million people. Not only have the belarusian people been subject to corrupted politicians and their lies, but they also have to worry about the people who are supposed to be protecting them. When Fletcher described that day, he described it as being set up, and fake. A year after he was elected he had persuaded his people to sign in a new constitution giving him more powers, thus including the right to prolong his term in office (he's on his fourth term), to rule by decree, and to appoint one-third of the upper house of parliament. This was just the beginning of his dictatorship and the withdrawal of human rights from his people. Basic human rights should be a given to everyone as soon as they are born into the world. Everyone is able to have shelter, water, and food. One should also have a right to free trial, association, assembly, and expression. In Belarus people don’t have these simple human rights.
