Self discipline and time management

Self discipline is the ability to do what you should do, when you should do it, even if you don’t feel like doing it. Without self discipline, all other success principle, techniques and advice are useless. Elbert Hubbard said, “There are 999 other success principles that I have found in my reading and experience, but without self-discipline, none of them work. With self-discipline, they all work.”
Most people seek the fastest and easiest way to get the things they want, right now, without concern for the long-term consequences of their behaviors. Most people do what gives them immediate pleasure and what is easy rather than what is necessary for success.
Successful people are disciplined people. They take control of their wants, feelings and thoughts, which affect what they say and do.
“Self-discipline is the key to personal greatness. With self-discipline, the average person can rise as far and as fast as his talents and intelligence can take him. But without self-discipline, a person with every blessing of background, education, and opportunity will seldom rise above mediocrity.” - Brian Tracey.
Just as self-discipline is the key to success, the lack of self-discipline is the major cause of failure, frustration, underachievement, and unhappiness in life.
Contemporary society is moving faster and faster. At work, more phone calls, more faxes, more e-mail, and more people knocking at our office doors all but ensure that each hour races by, at least from a perceptual standpoint. At home, more TV stations, more movies, more magazines, more books, and a greater variety of consumer goods all conspire to make it seem as if each hour and each day is flying by.
There is perhaps no area of your life in which self-discipline is more important than in the way you manage your time. Time is a special resource that you cannot store or save for later use. Everyone has the exact same amount of time each day. Time not well used cannot be retrieved. The fact is that you cannot save time; you can only spend it differently. You can only reallocate your time usage from areas of low value to areas of high value. Herein lies the key to success, and the requirement for self-discipline.
Have you ever noticed that the things that matter most often get pushed aside by less important concerns?  You would be very upset if someone gained access to your bank account and stole all your money. Most people, though, don’t blink an eye when all sorts of culprits sneak into their lives and steal their time.
The ten most popular “time robbers” are:  (1) Myths, (2) Goals, (3) Planning & shifting priorities, (4) Tyranny of the urgent, (5) Interruption, (6) Pro-crastination, (7) Meetings, (8) Delegation, (9) Waiting for answers, (10) Being organized.
If we identify the principal culprits and create a plan for managing them the right way, they will become “good friends” of our time.

Hey mate Here is your answer

Discipline and Time management

Before we can manage our time we must know exactly what time is. The dictionary describes it as, the duration of one's life; the hours and days which a person has at his disposal. How we dispose of that time is time management. It's the way we spend our time to organize and execute around our priorities. Remember just because time is intangible doesn't mean that it is not valuable. I want to teach you about the background of time management, the different styles and how to use them, and how it will change your life. “Time is a convenient concept invented to mark our days more precisely than morning, noon, and night.
