A democracy or post industrial nation does best when everybody has enough education to contribute to the society. That does not mean that everybody is the same, people should be educated to their potential. Usually, that means figuring out children's potential early and putting them in "tracks".
The US needs somewhere between 5% and 10% of its adult population to the Masters level and between 2% and 5% to the doctorate level (estimates keep changing). The US needs around 20-30% of the population educated to a bachelor's level, about 1/3 of that in STEM, 1/3 as teachers, and 1/3 for other positions.
The US needs about 50% of our working age population who do not go to college to need vocational training. Most vocational training is on-the-job, but more of it should be in the educational system.
At the other end of the spectrum, 5%-15% of the US population has brain issues that prevent them from attaining the minimum requirements for a high school education (9th grade performance in reading, writing, mathematics through algebra, and the ability to concentrate and behave at the 6th grade level). At least 20% of the US population cannot understand critical thinking, regardless of training.
Not all of these issues relate to IQ, EQ, or AQ (intelligence, emotional understanding, and creative and artistic ability), but these are good first approximation of how to track people. Attention deficits are a serious problem in education and for most people it continues in adulthood.

❝ Education for all ❞
Education means to understand and learn by exploring new adventures. The basic education is necessary for everyone to know the difference between good and bad for them.
This days, education has reached to every place, but still there are children who don't get eduaction. This is due to poverty. The poor childs are not able to afford education. They are busy in earning their daily wages or managing their households. But this problem is no more with the society because the Government has set up several Government Schools free of cost, where the school provides children with midday meal.
The poor peoples are still afraid to send their girls to attend school sessions. This is mostly because of low thinking quality of peoples. They think girls should stay home and work there forever. Apart from this, girls are also insecure. Due to which many organisations took part to train girls some self defense techniques.
Education is for all and will be for all for-ever.
