MEDITATION
We all believe in an old saying that 'a healthy mind resides in a healthy body' hence we must take a good care of our physical health. This is very true. On the other hand we also find that in order to enjoy a good physical health we must have a sound mental and emotional state of mind. We live in a fiercely competitive world. To provide for our needs and maintain a decent living standard daily we confront with big and small challenges. Up to a certain level, these challenges help us to grow, to cross our comfort zones and achieve our desired goals of life. But when we cross a limit, for instance, in meeting deadlines, we often are exposed to a lot of stress that eventually takes our mental peace and emotional stability. Amid this stress we rarely find peaceful time for us.
Owing to this stress that we are exposed to, causes a great impact on the hormones secreted by endocrine glands causing different levels of mental and emotional disorders which, if left neglected or untreated, affect our whole existence.
They not only affect us but they also affect everyone around us including our family, friends and professional co-workers. Therefore, it is utmost important for us to take care of our mental and emotional health along with physical health.
The true path of better living should not include only proper nutrition, clean air and physical exercise but also prevention and elimination of the very roots of mental and emotional diseases
I hope it will help you.
