An article on NRC

Explanation:

NRC-

NRC is the abbreviation of National Register of Citizens. Government of India maintains this register. In this register, genuine details of the citizens are noted.

NRC was first implemented in Assam. Assam is a North-East state of India. In Assam NRC was implemented to find out the foreign settlers who were illegally migrated in the state from foreign countries. When NRC was practised in the state, it was found out that more than 1.9 million people were illegally migrated in the state. According to data shared by the government most of them were Hindus and Bengalis. It was said that the implementation of the NRC has gone fatal. Due to improper data collected by the government and a tough documentation process people cannot make it to the NRC list.

Government was harshly criticized on its act. Some prominent personalities were also not able to make it to the NRC. There was an India-Pak war veteran who could also not make it to the NRC.

The ruling government of India (BJP) after seeing a huge number of illegal migrants in just one state decided to implement NRC all over the country. But people rejected his idea and started protesting against NRC. The protest became a blunder. To stop the protest the government used police force. Several people were killed by the police and by some unknown person. Protesters pelted stones on the police in retaliation.

The countrywide implementation of the NRC is not yet produced by the government. But it is being said that if the practice will occur, it will become a huge blunder for the country and the countrymen.
