Plastic bags are very popular among vendors and consumers because they are cheap, sturdy and light. Although they are considered so convenient in modern times that it is impossible to live without them but they are responsible for pollution, eliminating wildlife and using the earth's precious resources. Plastic is most commonly used all over the world. Due to pollution of plasticand the unnecesary use of plastic bags our planet is getting infected.
Disadvantages-
They deform natural scenes as every year more and more plastic bags are degrading the environment. These bags are found on water sources, gardens, seasides etc
Plastic bags kill animals many animals eat them as food and they die.
Plastic bags are not decomposed naturally ( non biodegradable) plastic take about 1000 years to disintegrate.
Petroleum is required to make plastic bags we are using fast non renewable resources for our needs like factories, transport etc. If the supply of petroleum ceases then the whole world will be half.
Advantages-
Plastics are corrosion resistant
They are chemically inert
They have low thermal expansion of co-efficient.
Possess good thermal and insulating property
Posseses good adhesiveness
It is strong, good and cheap to produce.
