In India poverty means even not finding two time meals in a day. The plight of villagers of Orissa and Chhattisgarh is so bad that these villagers are only getting rupees 12 per day. There are 10 % villagers those are having an average rupees 9 to spend per day. It is really sham full that in modern days of economic development our villagers are poor. We are unable to know to real reason of their poverty. According to national sample Serve Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, MP, Chhattisgarh and UP are very poor states of India. The residents of villages i.e. villages in these states about more than 20 Crores are compelled to live only with rupees 12 per day as their income. About 70% population of our country live in villages. About 60% of village population consists of farmers. The agriculture is main professional in villages. Farmers of many states have protested against capturing of their agricultural land by the government.
The farmers may be compensated by giving proper compensation for their land but what will happen to those who are agricultural laborer that is i.e. land less laborers. The benefits of liberalization are only limited to the residents of urban areas.
