Dowry was great menace to our country in the past centuries and even after extreme development and modernisation, this evil in our society still exists. Women and even girls of are tortured and even killed for merely some amount of money. Forced with this, some women commit suicide for being tortured. Asking for dowry is a crime. Though our government has taken steps, but the system should formulate more stringent law. The lower middle class and the poor families suffer a lot. They get into debt for saving money for Dowry. All this makes the girl's education suffers. This problem could only be fought when individuals come up and start fighting for their rights. Our nation, and even the entire world has to understand that women are not their puppets.
