Explanation:

Some of the zoos around the world has a mirror in a cage and the caption 'The world's most dangerous animal'. this is absolutely correct. The animals kill for food or survival, since the law of the jungle is based on the survival of the fittest.

Man is the only animal that kills other animals for fun, prestige or to show off his superiority. Man used to take hunting as a hobby till recently. The animal protection laws and forest preservation laws have brought down this considerably. Still reports about clandestine hunting are often heard.

The lesson, 'Mrs. Packletide's tiger' is a satire levelled at human vanity. Mrs Packletide had no inclination or aptitude for tiger hunting. But in order to compete with Loona Bimberton's achievement of flying in an air plane, she decides to get a tiger skin by herself. For that she chooses the most emaciated and old tiger by bribing the villagers.

When her effort to kill the tiger does not succeed and the tiger dies of shock, the villagers were ready to tell everybody otherwise. She was ready to bribe her maid servant Miss. Mebin heavily to guard her secret from the public. She even throws a party to celebrate her achievement. All these show the vain nature of the lady in particular and man in general. She was ready to sacrifice the lives of two animals so that she can boast of her ability. A goat was tied as a bait for the tiger. Her shot killed the goat and the tiger died of shock and Mrs. Packletide became a celebrity.
