PHYSICAL INACTIVITY IN YOUTH
ABC talks to you at lenght.....
Physical inactivity is becoming a major problem in youth. This problem is growing day by day in children. For children and young people, physical activity includes play, games, sports, transportation, chores, recreation, physical education, or planned exercise, in the context of family, school, and community activities. But nowadays children do not like go and play outside which can effect their health. Children bones are becoming weak due to it. Their bones can easily fractured and broken.
For inactive children and youth, a progressive increase in activity to eventually achieve the target shown above is recommended. It is appropriate to start with smaller amounts of physical activity and gradually increase duration, frequency and intensity over time. It should also be noted that if children are currently doing no physical activity, doing amounts below the recommended levels will bring more benefits than doing none at all. Lack of physical activity has contributed to an increase in body weight, a decrease in strength-to-weight ratio and decreased enjoyment participating in physical activity.
WHO has considered physical inactivity as the fourth most spreading problem in the world. Even CBSE has launched P.Ed. (Physical Education) to keep children fit. So parents should always try that children should spend their times in outdoor games other than education. Let us join our hands to keep our future physically active.
