Literally speaking , rain provides people with water in order to survive , being equally if not more important than food with regards to survival .

Certain countries suffer serious shortages of water as a results of inadequate amounts of rainfall . For the disadvantaged (the people living out on the streets or in areas without the availability of piped water) this can lead to a serious problem as they struggle to meet their needs as well as their families . This arises as water forms the basis for the comfort that we live in ,water is used for drinking purposes, washing clothes , personal hygiene ,etc... These people who struggle to get water often live in terrible , unhygienic conditions which lead to a gradual decrease in their quality of life and thereafter has adverse affects on their health.

I believe countries are not setting aside enough funds to take care of these people and provide them with one of mans basic needs (the right the good health) .
