Rote learning is said to be learning by heart. In most of schools and colleges, Rote learning is found common.

Learning by heart is a very easy method for teaching, childrens are given some facts in the form of questions and answers. They are supposed to learn it by heart and write in the examination as it is. At the time of result declaration they are declared promote to the next class. neither the teachers nor the Common students have anyproblem in this procedure.

Rote learning seems to be very easy but it has bad consequences. Learning by heart curves individual talent. A child cannot make his mental development as a result cannot think out any idea. In simple terms a child is derived from innovation creation and any invention. Thus, He will we working like a machine throughout the life.

If we want to bring about all round development in a child, we shall have to put more emphasis on ideas rather than facts. To accomplish this thing our teachers have to change method of teaching education satisfying the question word ( why and how).

To conclude we can say that learning to understanding is more important than learning by heart.
