Solar energy is a universal decentralized non polluting form of energy. lt contributes to photosynthesis and green house effect. lt has none of the dis advantages found in the burning of fossil fuels Like : Coal, Petroleum & Natural gase. lt is the most readily available and free source of energy The amount of solar energy received at Earth's surface per hour is far greater than the energy consumed by the world each year. Heat from sun can be used in solar heating devices such as : Solar cookers & solar water heaters. Sunlight can be converted into electricity using solar cells. Devices are used in veriety of proposes like : in Box type solar cookers, Solar water heater & Solar cells.

1. Plants need Solar energy to manufacture food through the process of photosynthesis.
2. Human beings and animals indirectly consume Solar energy by eating plants.

Advantage of Solar energy :

• Renewable Energy Source among all the benefits of solar panels, the most important thing is that Solar energy is a truly renewable energy source.

• Reduces Electricity Bill.

• Low Maintenance Costs.

• Wheather Dependent.

Advantages :

• Save fuel and do not cause pollution and environment friendly. The cost of equipment is the only investment as Solar energy is free, Nutrients are preserved in food it is cooked slowly and using Solar Power.

• A large surface area is needed to collect the Solar energy which may cause inconvenience in populated cities. Not effective at cloudy whether and where intense sunlight is not readily available.
