t is believed that education is the basic human right as it helps an individual to broaden their option to remove their poverty. The lack of basic education among children, basically girls has turned out to be a silent killer which attacks the developing world. Ensuring a proper basic education is the main component. UNICEF  aims at providing a basic education to all giving equality to genders. It aims at getting the girls into schools and ensures about their learning process. An educated girl feels more comfortable to participate in matters like social, economical and political. She is well paid in the workplace and is also found productive at home. This helps her to achieve respect in society. A school is said to be a safe environment for children where they get proper support and supervision. The lack of education to children increases the vulnerability towards exploitation, abuse and disease. In most of the villages, girls are often at risk when they are not in schools.

A school is said to be a second home for children where they are supervised by an adult and can find companionship which makes their environment safe and happy. There are millions of children who are not provided with the right to education. Out of this, majority of them are girls. This situation arises as their families are not in a position to afford the school fees as they belong to poor communities. Sometimes the families hesitate to send the girls to schools as they live in remote areas which do not have proper communication to the schools. Also there are families who want their children to work and earn money which will help them to solve the problem of poverty. They do not give importance to education. Educating the girls helps to gain health and reduce the infant mortality. It is a powerful tool to prevent from diseases like HIV/AIDS.
