A tree plantation drive happened at our school from Sunday, 15 August 2021 from till Wednesday, 25 August 2021. Every day, we planted trees from 9 AM to 7 PM at our school. Together, we planted 150 trees in those 10 days! We were required to at least plant a total of 15 trees every day. The aim of it was to increase the greenery of the school garden and to increase awareness about the importance of trees. Trees are very important for our survival, as they give us oxygen, reducing global warming by absorbing carbon dioxide, and many more. If we cut all trees, then neither humans nor animals would exist.
On the first day, the principal made us sing the school song. Then she gave us a place where we would plant trees. It was quite empty, so we could, and we planted 15 trees there. Similarly, we were given a place to plant trees where only 15 more trees could be planted. In this way, we planted 150 trees!
